In June 2025, we took a trip to Port Angelas and Victoria. The full picture gallery is here

We drove to Kalama, Washington, for an overnight stay at the McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge

Around the hotel, there was a cultural center and a dock for river cruises

Like most McMenamins hotels, there’s a photo hunt and if you find the picture, you get stamp in your McMenamins passport

Heading North

We stayed two nights at the Red Lion Inn, which is just a couple of blocks from the ferry. After checking in, we met our friend Sandy and her son Justin, and one excitable dog

That's my stick!

Victoria

We took the Blackball Ferry to Victoria with our friend Sandy. We took a water taxi to the Ocean Point Hotel where we stayed overnight.

We took the ferry back to Port Angelas, and drove to Centralia, Washington, for an overnight stay.

We stayed at the McMenamins Olympic Club, which is a restored historic hotel.

Our room was certailly, uh, historic
